Your new role
Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and performance optimisation for Windows and Linux environments.
Administer and optimise cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS to ensure reliability and scalability.
Implement and manage virtualisation technologies (VMware) to improve efficiency and reduce hardware costs.
Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam) to protect business data and minimize downtime.
Oversee email systems and Active Directory to ensure secure and uninterrupted IT services.
Develop and enforce IT security measures to safeguard servers, cloud environments, and critical data.
Monitor system performance and availability using appropriate tools, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Collaborate with vendors and lead infrastructure projects to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
Strong technical skills in: Server administration (Windows, Linux), Virtualisation (VMware), Backup and disaster recovery (Veeam), Cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS)
Familiarity with IT security tools and best practices.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
Hands-on experience in project and vendor management.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and have strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
