Position Information

Position Overview

The Frontend Developer contributes to a collaborative environment where usable, viable, and feasible solutions are developed to meet the business needs of customers.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.

An interest in front-end development work and an eagerness to learn

Work from a vision instead of being solely task-oriented

Manage work commitments across multiple teams by understanding underlying business priorities

Assist with user research activities (surveys, interviews, usability studies, analytics reporting, pilot testing, etc.) to guide product design and ongoing improvements

Deliver low-to-high fidelity prototypes as the project requires; ensure designs follow or evolve established patterns

Write maintainable, scalable and accessible HTML, CSS, and JS

Work with product development teams to solve complex UX challenges within technical constraints

Leverage technical experience to communicate product needs to the development team; able to question/challenge development and QA resources to facilitate constructive brainstorming and solution design

Deliver consistent, clear, and timely communication (both written and verbal) to project stakeholders

Qualifications

Requirements

2+ years of experience in front-end development

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience with React and React Native

Working knowledge of Bootstrap, CSS preprocessors, and font-based icons

Experience with source control technologies (e.g. Git - GitHub, Azure, BitBucket)

Understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues and testing

Familiarity with user experience design principles and methods

Experience contributing to, consuming, and maintaining component-based design systems

Working knowledge of one or more industry-standard prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Invision)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $78,629 - $105,000. Salary will be determined on the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and performance in similar roles.
