Job Objective
Coordinating and actively managing one or more several complex Operations projects as the core team member
to ensure an excellent launch of new products
Successfully leading cross functional, interdisciplinary teams (e.g. from Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering,
Testing, Technical Services, Quality and other project related departments) to ensure the correct application and
execution of the PEP and be accountable for the assigned projects
Ensure the full transparency within assigned projects, proactively reporting to different management levels
(e.g. Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Project Manager), escalation regarding HELLA instructions if
necessary
Conduct fully correct hand over of products in the series production
Duties and Responsibilities
A Project Management
1 Working within the project teams according to the Hella PEP regulations as the Operations core team
member and leading Operations project teams
2 Agreeing and following up targets with the Project manager in terms of quality, costs and timing in
agreement with the superior and taking existing processes and methods into consideration. Providing timely
project decisions and identifying critical paths in order to establish prioritized actions
3 Ensuring that the project targets are being achieved or overachieved simultaneously or with the priority to
selected dimension(s). Be able to focus on the most relevant deliverables (e.g. Functional Safety
requirements)
4 Knowing the Hella-standards, processes, methods and tools in the field of project management, and being
able to apply them accordingly through the project lifetime
5 Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring project maturity, internal tasks / work packages within the
production team by using predefined methods and tools and HELLA standards
6 Actively identifying claims potential resulting from engineering changes. Maintaining a valid status on
engineering changes (e.g. change requests) with regards to their effects on the project targets
7 Understanding and knowing the product specifications and manufacturing process to the extent that they
build a basis for profound decisions for the project manager to manage his project. Reflecting the effects
of the decisions on the other departments (e.g. Operations, Purchasing) within Hella. Evaluation of
economic and production engineering consequences regarding necessary changes
8 Defining members of the extended production team with the help of the functional departments and
moderating the production team incl. conflict resolution with functional departments
9 Coordinating the bidding process and supporting and realization of make or buy decisions
10 Monitoring the implementation of all defined SipCo actions (manufacturing costs: iPC vs. ACT)
11 Ensuring agreed global standards get accomplished
12 Active participation at the selection of production processes with development team and process experts
as well as steering and executing in the development of production methods taking the market development
for production systems into account and check new systems for their suitability and applicability as set by
Hella specific constrains and legal requirements
13 Guide and advice the development responsible concerning production related options / and improvements
at new developments and modifications of products with regard to optimum cost and quality
14 Steering and executing in the selection of appropriate production processes with the process experts and
development team and proactively suggest the best processes for the product
15 Ensure that the planning of production flows, production layouts and production equipment under
consideration of needed / available capacities is done by the manufacturing engineer under consideration
of cost, quality and due dates. Ensure that the specification requirements are drawn up
16 Ensure the procurement of production equipment (evaluation of quotations, technical discussion with
potential suppliers, preparation of supplier decision and ordering, control progress during construction
phase)
17 Ensure that the P-FMEA is created and that the assessment of the risks is done properly, and introduction
of sustainable improvements is secured
18 Ensure that the pre-acceptance, set-up of production equipment and final acceptance of production
equipment is done according to the defined requirements
19 Preparing Run @Rate, obtaining assessment and all needed documentation for process approval.
Responsibility for the organization / qualification of the start of production
20 Involvement in internal and external project related audits
21 Preparing, updating and managing production and quality related documentation according to the
guidelines as well as creating and updating the production master data, ensuring training for relevant
employees

1 Functional lead of the employees in the competence responsibility
2 Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks
Carrying out other tasks related to this position

IHRE QUALIFIKATIONEN
Coordinating and actively managing one or more several complex Operations projects as the core team member

Leadership to leading cross functional and interdisciplinary teams (all departments related the launch of new industrialization project).
Management reporting across different levels.
Experience with customer care \& effective communication.
CAPEX management for project operations.
Risk and change management execution through launching phase.
Understanding and knowing of the product specifications and manufacturing processes.
+5 years as project manager and as launches responsible.
Engineering.
English – Professional Fluently (written and spoken).
German (as good advantage).
SAP.
