Position: Commercial Manager - Ireland
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
About the position:
Main purpose of role is to develop Air, Seafreight, Roadfreight and Customs sales across the Logistics sector in the Republic of Ireland.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
Achieve and exceed a designated GP \& volume target
Develop relationships with Hellmann’s global offices for specific trade routes
Ensure Cross support all Hellmann Products : Air / Sea/ Road \& build strong communication lines
Support the Hellmann sales team, with accompany at meetings to share specialist knowledge.
Develop opportunities in line with Hellmann’s Strategic business plan.
Drive customer RFI/RFQ processes and responses either as a lead and/or in collaboration with the country or regional tender management team
Own and/or support the network in regards to the implementation process of new and/or existing customers including Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Agreements and IT applications
Maintain and develop assigned key accounts and/or identify and develop new target accounts
Assist the local Branch Management in retention of secured business.
Agree jointly with Management a sales plan and target account platform.
Maintain regular dialogue on customer development with manager and wider team.
Develop strong working relationships with procurement, IS \& operations team.
Develop and maintain personal expertise in selling skills and industry knowledge.
Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner, ensuring that our values are adhered to at all times.
Own and deliver specific projects as assigned by the line manager
To monitor all Accounts to ensure low and nil spend customers are immediately identified and relevant follow up action is taken.
To maintain effective customer records through the CRM system.
To monitor and evaluate personal sales performance, and take corrective action as appropriate.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be educated in Maths and English (oral and written) to GCSE, Standard Grade or equivalent; grade A-C and be able to demonstrate a high level of competent computer skills in all areas of Microsoft office 365
Have substantial experience in a commercial sales environment within logistics in Ireland
Ability to influence with a wide range of stakeholders
Target driven with strong negotiating skills.
Flexible team player
Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience, plus car allowance and target driven commission scheme.
