Software Developer – Agentic AI Automation

Contract: Permanent - Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per year

About the Role:
As a Software Developer specialising in agentic AI automation, you will design, develop, and implement software solutions that leverage agent-based AI models to automate complex workflows and drive innovation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, integrate agentic AI into existing systems, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business requirements
The role’s responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Design, develop, and maintain robust software applications and automation solutions using industry-standard programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
Build and implement agent-based AI models to automate tasks, optimise processes, and enable intelligent decision-making.
Integrate agentic AI systems with cloud services, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain automation scripts, frameworks, and reusable components.
Conduct testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure reliability and scalability.
Monitor and maintain deployed AI agents, making improvements as needed.
Safeguard Privacy and Data Security: Adhere to data protection regulations (such as UK GDPR), ensuring that personal and sensitive data is handled responsibly and securely at all stages of AI development and deployment
Provide technical support and training to team members on agentic AI tools and best practices.
Stay up to date with advancements in AI, automation, and software development.
What are we looking for?
We would love to hear from you if you have these essential skills:
Proven experience as a Software Developer, Automation Engineer.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
Experience with agentic AI frameworks and tools (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Experience integrating AI agents into CI/CD pipelines and enterprise environments.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Recent experience designing, developing, and enhancing travel systems within a tour operator or travel technology environment.
Strong understanding of key travel technology platforms (e.g. reservation systems, CRM, content management, pricing engines, etc.
Strong business analysis capabilities – able to translate business requirements into system specifications
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a strong eye for process improvement
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and managing cross-functional relationship
Preferred: Design, code, and test solutions using M365 tools like Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Apps, and Power Automate
