DataOps Engineer (DevOps / Data Platform)
We are looking for a mid-level DataOps Engineer to join an engineering team building cloud and hybrid-cloud platforms for large-scale data, AI, and scientific workloads. This role is ideal for engineers with strong DevOps experience who want hands-on ownership of data infrastructure and automation.
Job Overview
– Design and operate cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, Lambda).
– Build and maintain ETL and data pipelines (NiFi, Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow).
– Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, on-prem).
– Develop observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
– Automate CI/CD workflows (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
– Support GPU workloads, HPC environments, and data lineage with Apache Atlas.
– Collaborate with AI, data, and backend teams to ensure scalable services.
Requirements
Must-have
– Bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields.
– 3+ years in DevOps or DataOps, cloud, or systems engineering.
– Strong AWS and Kubernetes experience.
– Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
– Python or Bash scripting; understanding of distributed systems.
– Good English communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
– Experience with AI/ML pipelines, data lakehouse (Hudi, Iceberg), or real-time systems.
– Background in healthcare, biotech, or security and governance frameworks is a big plus.
