The Senior Web Developer will be Highgrove Bathrooms’ first in-house web development specialist, responsible for driving eCommerce excellence. This pivotal role bridges the gap between Highgrove Bathrooms and external agencies, bringing advanced technical capability, user experience insight, and eCommerce innovation into the business.
The role oversees all UX, UI, and CRO initiatives, ensuring that every customer touchpoint reflects the Highgrove Bathrooms brand and delivers a seamless, high-performing digital experience.
With strong expertise in front-end and back-end development, particularly within Magento and/or Shopify, this role will lead website optimisation, code quality, and the implementation of new features that improve site functionality, customer engagement, and online sales performance.

Responsibilities:
Web Development \& Platform Management
Lead the in-house development and technical management of Highgrove’s eCommerce websites (Magento and/or Shopify).
Design, develop, test, and deploy new website features, integrations, and enhancements in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
Oversee the maintenance, security, and performance optimisation of all digital platforms.
Implement responsive, user-friendly design improvements aligned with brand guidelines.
Ensure code quality, scalability, and compliance within best-practice development standards.
UX, UI \& CRO Optimisation
Conduct ongoing analysis of user behaviour, conversion funnels, and customer journeys to identify UX/UI improvement opportunities.
Lead A/B testing and CRO initiatives to increase engagement and conversion rates.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to align digital experience with brand and campaign objectives.
Ensure accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and site performance meet modern standards.
Collaboration \& Project Management
Act as the primary technical liaison between Highgrove Bathrooms and web agencies, ensuring business goals and timelines are met.
Work closely with the E-Commerce \& ERP Executive to ensure seamless data flow, system integration, and online product accuracy.
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, IT teams to deliver integrated digital solutions.
Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and project briefs.
System Integration \& Technical Oversight
Support integration between eCommerce, ERP, and CRM platforms, ensuring data accuracy and synchronisation.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, maintaining high website uptime and performance.
Oversee third-party plugins, APIs, and custom modules, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
Data, Reporting \& Continuous Improvement
Monitor site analytics, load times, and performance metrics to guide technical and UX enhancements.
Provide regular reporting on website performance, CRO outcomes, and development progress with the E-Commerce \& ERP Executive.
Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies, eCommerce trends, and coding best practices to drive innovation.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years’ experience in full-stack or web development roles within an eCommerce environment.
Proven expertise in Magento (Adobe Commerce) and/or Shopify Plus development.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), PHP, and modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar).
Experience with API integrations, database management, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Deep understanding of UX/UI principles and CRO methodologies.
Strong analytical skills and experience using Google Analytics, and reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and code quality discipline.
