The opportunity:
Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R\&D engineers,
specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. Able to lead a team with strong people management skills, to deliver the value expected from the team. The team manager is expected to define and implement both long-term and short-term strategies for the team as per overall organization strategy.
How you’ll make an impact:
To Define, execute and validate hardening guidelines for different products like ethernet switches, PLCs, Linux PCs, Firewall, etc. also ensure required inputs are captured to comply with MCSR, customer, standard and regulatory requirements compliance documents.
To develop, implement, and configure security control, networks and solutions (e.g., L3 and L7 firewalls) concluded with respective quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities also own and prepare security and network architecture as part of product development process.
To set up, implement, maintain, monitor, and support laboratories networks, deployment tools and technologies, including but not limited to: Ethernet Switches and Firewall and configure, maintain, test and troubleshoot of TCP/IP networks according to predefined research architecture.
To own and prepare cyber security related documentation for the delivery products and act as L4 support team member for security and network incident management process including but not limited to incident reporting, root cause analysis, solution identification and implementation.
To continuously monitor, validate and release third party security patches to ensure that reliability of the system is maintained and install and hardening of firewall and ethernet switch security, implementing group policies, account restrictions and resource allocation.
To monitor, maintain, enhance, and support Hitachi Energy provided cyber security and network solutions and support in company risk review and make sure Hitachi energy is protected from legal and brand prospective with regards to cybersecurity topics.
You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
Required bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
Knowledge of system administration, networks, infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls), configuration, trouble shooting, and root cause analysis also knowledge of Network Fundamentals (routing, VLANs, subnets, etc.) and Network Security.
Strong understanding of cyber security standards, guidelines, and best practices for building highly resilient hardened systems (e.g., NERC CIP, BDEW, IEC 62443 3-2 \& IEC 62443 3-3, FISMA, NIST, CIS, and OWASP) and understanding of basic cyber security controls like; IDS/IPS (host and network), hardening, security policies, malware protection, filtering, etc.
Experience in agile software development processes and security development lifecycle processes, system security, product / application security architecture, network security, and web services, implementation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security controls such as L3 and L7 firewalls.
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience and experience in local networks testing, maintenance or similar activities.
Experience with industrial switches from the main market vendors like Advantech, Moxa, Weidmueller or Hirschman and following technologies would add advantages, knowledge and experience in electric mobility field (good to have)
Industrial data transfer protocols such as Modbus, WebSocket, OCPP, MQTT, Linux, Docker and Kubernetes, .NET (Core), Python, Microservices and containerized applications, Azure cloud environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and with sense of ownership and responsibility.
Proficiency in both spoken \& written English language is required.
