The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong.

CMU OmniClear Limited (CMU OmniClear) is a wholly owned subsidiary of CMU OmniClear Holdings Limited, which is jointly owned by the Exchange Fund (as the majority shareholder) and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (as the minority shareholder). It carries out the operation and business development activities of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) on behalf of the HKMA. As part of the critical financial market infrastructure in Hong Kong, CMU is a central securities depository (CSD), providing secure and efficient clearing, settlement and custodian services for securities. CMU OmniClear’s vision is to continuously enhance CMU service coverage, expand connectivity with other markets and upgrade the CMU infrastructure to provide market participants with comprehensive and quality services.

Senior Associate (Application System Development)

Responsible for the development as well as maintenance of enterprise application systems.

Participate in full SDLC activities including system analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment and ongoing support

Work with internal and external parties to develop and implement solutions and deliver business outcomes

Set up and maintain testing environments to support testing activities

Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and supervisors by proactively providing regular updates on project status, risks and issues

Keep abreast of relevant technological advancements, development of industry standards and best practices. Actively review the CMU’s existing systems and identify areas for continuous improvement

University degree in information technology, computer science or related fields

At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a well-established organization, including development and support of information systems

Solid experience in Java, JMS, JPA, Spring framework, Oracle database, Hibernate, Message-driven EJB, JSON, Open API, Vue.js, IBM WebSphere and MQ

Good knowledge of Agile methodology and DevSecOps

Knowledge of Central Securities Depositories (CMU, Euroclear, Clearstream) and SWIFT MT/MX would be an advantage

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Candidates with less experience and qualifications will also be considered, even if they do not meet all of the specified requirements above

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate level.)
