Are you a world-class Python engineer ready to push your technical limits in one of the most intellectually rigorous environments in finance?
Our client is a leading quantitative investment fund—combining deep research, cutting-edge data science, and sophisticated trading systems to deliver exceptional long-term returns. They’re expanding their core engineering team and are seeking a Python Software Engineer to help design and build the next generation of research, data, and trading infrastructure.
The Opportunity
You’ll work at the intersection of software engineering, data, and quantitative research, partnering directly with researchers and portfolio managers to create scalable systems that power high-performance trading and analytics.
This isn’t a legacy maintenance role — it’s greenfield development in a fast-moving, research-driven environment where precision and performance matter.
What You’ll Do
Design and implement robust Python systems for data ingestion, modelling, and strategy research.
Optimize and scale quantitative pipelines for speed, transparency, and reliability.
Collaborate with world-class quants and data scientists to bring research ideas to production.
Contribute to architectural design and best practices for distributed systems and cloud-based compute.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of professional experience as a Python developer, ideally within high-performance, data-heavy environments.
Strong grounding in computer science fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, and system design.
Experience with NumPy, Pandas, PySpark, or similar data frameworks.
Exposure to financial data, trading systems, or quantitative research is highly advantageous (though not required).
Passion for clean, performant code and continuous technical improvement.
Why Apply
Join a high-calibre team of engineers, quants, and researchers from leading tech and academic backgrounds.
Work on complex, high-impact systems where your code directly supports real-world performance.
Competitive compensation + meaningful bonuses linked to fund success.
Hybrid working model and exceptional technical culture — no red tape, no bureaucracy, just results.
