Job Description
A Cybersecurity Analyst protects an organization’s computer systems and networks from cyber threats like hacking, malware, and data breaches.
They monitor security tools, investigate suspicious activity, and implement safeguards to ensure information remains confidential, secure, and compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor systems for security breaches and threats
Analyze incidents and respond to attacks in real time
Maintain and update firewalls, encryption, and other security tools
Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing
Prepare reports and advise teams on improving security posture
Required Skills:
Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection
Experience with tools like SIEM, antivirus, and endpoint protection
Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001\)
Analytical thinking and problem\-solving skills
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or Cybersecurity
Certifications: CompTIA Security\+, CISSP, CEH, etc.
