In this role, youâll contribute to maintaining existing database environments while introducing new technologies that enable advanced data exploitation â including artificial intelligence applications. Acting as a key link between business stakeholders and IT teams, youâll play a central role in driving innovation, performance, and security across complex database systems.
The Role
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of database technologies, from solution design to implementation and industrialization. This includes maintenance, migrations, automated backups, and deployment pipelines. Youâll also work on transversal application projects involving relational and non-relational databases, where youâll serve as a reference point for performance optimization, data modeling, and security. As part of an agile environment, youâll help deploy and maintain CI/CD workflows on both traditional servers and containerized platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and evolve existing relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (Elasticsearch) database systems
Support development teams in managing legacy software through data structure migrations and stored procedure replacements
Implement and maintain centralized logging and distributed messaging platforms (Kafka)
Participate in the continuous improvement of database performance and security across key systems
Set up and maintain automated processes for backup, migration, and deployment
Contribute to new data environments, including Graph DB (Neo4j) and Vector DB (Milvus)
Ensure version control and release management using Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitOps)
Collaborate in agile teams, adapting to evolving technologies and priorities
Profile \& Experience
Degree in Computer Science (Bachelorâs or higher) and several years of relevant experience
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch; ability to install, configure, and automate environments through scripting (Python)
Experience with distributed messaging systems (Kafka) and database migration projects
Knowledge or willingness to learn Graph DB (Neo4j) and Vector DB (Milvus)
Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, GitOps, and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Experience with version control (Git) and structured branching strategies
Fluent in English and at least one of the two national languages, with a good understanding of the other
The Ideal Candidate
You are a technically curious and adaptable professional who enjoys solving complex problems in collaborative settings. You work independently once objectives are clear, think creatively to design effective solutions, and remain persistent when facing challenges. Your communication skills and solution-oriented mindset make you a strong team player capable of thriving in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments.
