Do you want to develop world-class skills, build a brilliant career, and thrive within a highly supportive team? Join Inchcape New Zealand, part of Inchcape’s global network.

You’ll play a key part in growing a global business that’s transforming our industry, working with the world’s leading automotive brands, and delivering great experiences for our customers.

Our team is seeking Parts Category Manager to join our team in New Zealand. In this position you will collaborate with a dynamic, diverse team to deliver exceptional service and repairs, bringing your expertise and passion for quality to drive your career forward.

What you’ll do

Develop and manage category strategies for service, maintenance, and repair parts, ensuring alignment with brand and Centre of Excellence (CoE) objectives, while implementing standardised pricing methodologies and tools.

Conduct competitor and market pricing analysis to optimise gross margin and competitiveness across Subaru, LDV, and KGM portfolios, managing price files, change schedules, and margin reviews.

Analyse sales, stock, and demand data to maintain optimal range coverage, identify new part introductions and rationalisation opportunities, and collaborate with supply teams to manage slow-moving or obsolete stock.

Support sales initiatives including retail and trade campaigns, accessory promotions, and value packs, while providing insights into seasonal and vehicle-specific demand and promoting OEM parts over aftermarket alternatives.

Monitor category performance through analytics and reporting, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including OEMs and dealer networks, and contribute to governance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support customer experience by assisting with escalations and dealer training, maintaining and developing parts systems, and updating training materials and policies to ensure high service standards.

About you

Demonstrated experience in automotive parts, category, or product management within OEM or distributor environments, with strong commercial acumen and analytical and financial reporting skills.

Advanced Excel proficiency and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to balance and prioritise across multiple brands and market needs.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.

Desirable: Background in dealership operations, familiarity with automotive product portfolios, experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Magix, and understanding of regional supply chain and pricing models across Australia and New Zealand
