Your role:
Implement and maintain robust monitoring systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify potential issues, and trigger alerts for timely intervention.
Automate infrastructure tasks, deployments, and other operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce human error, and enable faster responses to incidents.
Respond to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to restore service availability and minimize downtime.
Automate and streamline the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases of software and updates.
Work closely with DBA, development, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth integration and collaboration across the software development lifecycle.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Implement security best practices, managing access control, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Document system configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and smooth operations.
What you bring to the role:
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related field and 0-2 years of functional experience.
Broad theoretical knowledge typically acquired from advanced education.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) to develop automation scripts, tools, and monitoring.
Understanding operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows), networking, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expertise in using monitoring tools like Datadog to track system health, performance, and availability.
Working knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with cloud-native technologies.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $69,300.00 - $110,900.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
