Marketing / Product Development / Product Management Staff – food - Hybrid

An international food company is seeking a Marketing/ Product Development staff with at least 1 years of product development / Product Management in a food company.

This food manufacturer has been around for more than 80 years, and their products are sold at most major grocery stores. They are growing!

**This is a remote Hybrid position, need to commute to the office at least three times a week***

Location: Garden Grove, CA

Salary: $26-27/hr

Shift: 8:30pm – 5:30pm Monday to Friday (twice a week work from home, 3 days office)

Summary:

Product development, product management, price management.

Coordinate various new product development/improvement projects.

Analyze and summarize sales data and product cost information.

Administrative tasks for third-party certifications and other jobs as requested.

Manage/maintain relationships with vendors.

Principal tasks (not limited to and subject to change)

As a main contact person with venders including consultants, designers, and printers, move forward on assigned product development/improvement projects. Jobs include concept development, market research, surveys, project timeline management, package design and photo shoots, checking legal compliance with lawyers, and completing internal label checks.

Responsible for managing product information in systems including PLM (Devex), ERP (NetSuite), and customers’ portal sites.

Organize and improve the accuracy and quality of product information through the development and use of a PLM system. Data quality will be improved by re-evaluating product specifications and determining more accurate values based on industry/GS1 Standards.

Create and update Product Description. Assure that all information is accurate and most updated.

Extract sales data from ERP system and summarize it in an easy-to-understand format using Excel and PowerPoint.

Understand the profit and loss by product and manage it appropriately.

Create price lists using advanced Excel skills. Import pricing data in NetSuite via CSV import.

Coordinate various projects as requested. Tasks include project management, scheduling, taking meeting minutes, communication between internal departments and suppliers and customers,

As the main responsible party for the various third-party certifiers, responsibilities include making sure all facilities, products, and ingredients are compliant and up to date.

Responsibilities may include administrative tasks such as processing invoices, submission of required documents and labels for certification, scheduling audits, as well as addressing any questions or concerns.

Additional objectives may be added as needed by management to meet company direction.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 1year of experience in marketing or product development or project management

Food manufacturing company experience is a must

Data management skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge including INDEX MATCH, PivotTables, and VLOOKUP functions

An ability to learn and adapt to new systems including PLM (Devex) and ERP (NetSuite)

An ability to learn regulations and industry standards (e.g., FDA labeling regulations, GS1 Standards)

Basic Photoshop/Illustrator and/or other graphic design skills will be helpful but not a must

Manage social media platforms \& general business marketing knowledge

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Japanese knowledge helpful

Constantly operates computer at the office or home.

Occasional food tasting \& cooking for sample tasting which does not require special techniques. Occasionally travels for exhibitions and photo shoots. (mostly local but maybe out of States once a year)
