About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Snowflake to design, develop, and maintain dynamic business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into insightful dashboards and reports, leveraging Snowflake as the primary data source.
Key Responsibilities:* Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
Connect Power BI to Snowflake, ensuring efficient data extraction and refresh strategies.
Develop and maintain data pipelines between Snowflake and Power BI for seamless data integration.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights.
Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices within Power BI.
Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and scalability.
Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability.
Provide support and training to business users on Power BI tools and capabilities.
Required Skills \& Qualifications* 5+ years of experience developing in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, report design).
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, and ETL processes.
Proficiency with SQL and data transformation techniques.
Experience with Power BI Service, including workspace management, data gateways, and report publishing.
Familiarity with data cloud environments such as Azure is a plus.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:* Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake via ODBC, Direct Query, or custom connectors.
Knowledge of Python or Azure Data Factory for data automation workflows.
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification.
