Data Integration Engineer
Location: Remote – Mexico or LATAM
Employment Type: Full-time or long-term contract (for U.S. client)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, aligned with U.S. business hours
Rate: $50,000 - $60,000 MXP Monthly as contractor (NO benefits)
Role Summary:
We are seeking a Data Integration Engineer with experience in SQL, ETL, and data automation, responsible for connecting and transforming information between different systems. The role focuses on moving data, creating automated processes, and ensuring data quality while collaborating remotely with U.S.-based teams. Experience in the mortgage industry is not required, but prior experience with financial or banking systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move data between systems.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
Automate data ingestion from files, databases, or external APIs.
Configure secure file transfers (SFTP) between systems or vendors.
Work with integration tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms.
Collaborate with analysts and U.S. technical teams to validate business rules and reports.
Support the creation of reports and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Document processes and follow best practices for data quality and governance.
Technical Requirements
3+ years of experience in data integration or data engineering roles.
Strong SQL Server skills (queries, joins, indexing, optimization).
Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Pentaho, or Talend.
Proficiency with SFTP and file formats (CSV, XML, JSON).
Knowledge of Python, Java, or C# for automation.
Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools.
Advanced English proficiency (able to communicate with U.S. teams).
Nice to Have
Experience in financial or credit-related systems.
Familiarity with loan servicing platforms such as Black Knight MSP, Encompass, or similar.
Experience in regulated or high-security data environments.
