Job Description:
At Intel, we're advancing the next generation of foundational software through hardwareâsoftware coâdesign, building state-of-the-art compilers for AI and machine learning models that unlock the full potential of heterogeneous computing. Our work empowers developers worldwide to take advantage of CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators through cutting-edge tools, libraries, and compilers. By joining our efforts, youâll contribute to an open ecosystem that drives performance, scalability, and portability across diverse architectures, enabling breakthroughs in AI, highâperformance computing, and more. If youâre passionate about transforming computing technology and making a meaningful impact, this is an opportunity to be part of innovations that truly matter.
The Intel Compiler Engineering Team is a high-performing group responsible for creating the industry-leading Intel C/C++/DPC++ and Fortran compilers. As an active leader within LLVM.orgâthe foundation of our compiler productsâwe continually push the boundaries of compiler technology to deliver powerful and efficient compilers across all Intel processor platforms, from CPUs to GPUs.
We are hiring a Compiler Research and Development Intern to support the coâdesign of nextâgeneration Intel CPU and GPU architectures through compiler innovation aimed at AI and machine-learning model optimization. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to collect and analyze AI performance data on Intel architectures, contribute to both hardware and software features that improve AI workload performance, and evaluate how compiler optimizations influence hardware design. Youâll gain handsâon experience with technologies such as LLVM, SYCL, and CUDA while learning how compilers and runtimes integrate across the hardwareâsoftware stack to deliver strong performance and reliability for AI workloads.
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
