Join us as a Software Engineer with solid Data Science background and be a part of reshaping structural maintenance through innovative data-driven solutions. Your expertise will drive data-driven structural assessment and contribute to the evolution of irmos technologies in our dynamic startup environment.

What you will do:

Design build and optimize real-time data pipelines, logic and storage systems with latest coding practices and industry standards (e.g., Databricks, Airflow, Spark, Kafka).

Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of data systems through monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices.

Serve as the technical liaison between data infrastructure and downstream data consumers (dta science and engineering teams), ensuring alignment on definitions, metrics, and SLAs.

Continuously evaluate and improve the technical stack and infrastructure to support evolving data and scalability needs.

Write unit, integration tests and functional automation, towards quality assurance

Continuously assess and optimize bottlenecks and opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and scalability

Set standards for data quality, testing, version control, and deployment across all stages of the data lifecycle.

Define and implement data governance retention and monitoring policies

What you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with solid background in Data Sciences and Software engineering.

3+ years of professional software development/data engineering experience.

Experience designing and building solutions within a cloud-based microservice architecture.

Experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading.

Proficient in Python, and data engineering frameworks (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Airflow).

Experience with SQL and NoSQL based databases for storage and processing of structured, semi-structured \& unstructured data

Experience in shell scripting.

Experience with Google Big Query or Amazon Redshift or Azure Synapse Analytics or other equivalent solution is considered a plus.

Experience in working with DevOps automation tools \& practices and CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and, ideally, Kubernetes.

Experience implementing and operationalizing data governance policies (e.g., data cataloging, metadata management, data lineage, access control).

Experience operating in regulated environments with security and compliance needs is considered a plus.
