Key Responsibilities
Design and implement efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines and workflows.
Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, proactively addressing bottlenecks.
Assist in developing enterprise-level data architectures for scalable data processing.
Contribute to technical roadmaps and data strategy initiatives.
Research and prototype new data technologies and methodologies.
Collaborate with senior engineers, software teams, data scientists, and analysts.
Required Qualifications
At least 3 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Deep expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data catalogs, and data governance.
Hands-on experience with:
Programming languages: Python, SQL, Java, Scala, and/or Rust
Technologies: Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, dbt
Infrastructure: IaC tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD and DevOps workflows
Fluency in German and English.
Willingness to travel occasionally within the DACH region.
