Job Summary

As a DevOps Engineer, you will take the lead in OpenShift and Kubernetes operations, leverage Linux scripting and programming capabilities to optimize our infrastructure, and drive automation across the entire development and operation lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to manage cloud platforms, support application development in containerized environments, and ensure the stability and efficiency of our systems. This role is based in Hong Kong and ideal for professionals who excel in fast-learning and applying new technologies, with solid expertise in OpenShift, Linux, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability and performance of the platform.

Manage Linux-based systems, develop and optimize Linux Shell scripts to automate routine operations and improve work efficiency.

Deploy, manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, collaborate with development teams to implement containerized application deployment, including Dockerfile writing and optimization.

Implement and maintain automation tools such as Ansible and Ansible Tower to realize infrastructure automation deployment and configuration management.

Set up and operate log analysis systems such as ELK Stack to collect, analyze and monitor system logs for rapid fault location.

Use programming and scripting languages (preferably Python, Linux Shell, YAML, and familiar with RESTful API, Java) to develop automation tools and integrate system services.

Participate in cloud platform management and support, including cloud resource allocation, monitoring and optimization.

Continuously learn new tools, technologies and programming languages to adapt to the changing needs of the technical environment.

Required Qualifications \& Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven work experience in OpenShift operation and maintenance, with in-depth understanding of OpenShift architecture and core functions.

Proficiency in Linux system management and Linux Shell scripting programming; solid foundation in Linux operating system principles.

Mastery of Kubernetes platform technology, with experience in Kubernetes cluster deployment, management and troubleshooting.

At least one of the following professional directions: Linux system deep tuning, Kubernetes cloud technology research, cloud platform management and support, container application development, automation tool development, log analysis.

Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language; priority given to candidates with Python, Linux Shell, YAML, RESTful API application and Java experience; other languages are also acceptable.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Ansible Tower; experience in infrastructure as code is a plus.

Experience in deploying and using log analysis tools such as ELK Stack.

Strong ability to learn new tools, technologies or programming languages quickly and apply them to practical work.

Good communication skills and team collaboration awareness, able to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), OpenShift Certified Administrator.

Experience in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) management and operation and maintenance.

Familiar with CI/CD pipeline construction and management, with experience in tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI is a plus.

Familiar with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience in agile team work.

Remuneration

Competitive salary of HKD 25,000 - 28,000 per month, plus performance-based bonuses.
