Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with senior data engineers and data scientists to ensure the seamless collection, storage, and processing of large datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to process and integrate data from various sources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and ensure data is accessible, clean, and ready for analysis.
Assist in the design and maintenance of data architecture and storage systems (e.g., databases, data lakes).
Perform data cleansing and transformation tasks to ensure data quality and consistency.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing, pipeline failures, and system performance.
Monitor and optimize the performance of existing data pipelines and systems.
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy policies, and best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies in data engineering.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
Basic understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Hadoop).
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.
A willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve your skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow).
Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
