Senior Data Engineer/Platform Administrator (m/f/d)
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Snowflake Platform: Administer and optimize Snowflake warehouses, roles, and databases to ensure performance, cost efficiency, and security.
Automate Infrastructure: Use Terraform to provision, configure, and maintain Snowflake environments and supporting cloud infrastructure.
Craft Efficient Data Pipelines: Design, implement, and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using SQL and Python
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business stakeholders from Finance, Risk, Banking, Markets and Operations, understand their needs, and translate them into data-driven solutions
Enable Continuous Delivery: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platform components, ensuring safe and automated deployments.
Optimize Performance and Cost: Monitor workloads, tune queries and warehouse configurations, and implement resource governance.
Enforce Security and Compliance: Manage role-based access control, encryption, and audit policies to meet organizational standards.
Document and Improve Processes: Maintain clear documentation, standards, and operational runbooks for ongoing platform improvement.
Requirements
Strong SQL and Python skills; experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and transformations
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
4+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform administration
3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar platforms
Experience with Terraform and IaC principles
Solid understanding of data governance and security
Fluent in English; German a plus

For this position, the yearly compensation starts at EUR 65,000.
