In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, operating, and evolving our enterprise-grade container platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments. Working within a collaborative platform team, you’ll ensure developers can deploy and manage their applications efficiently, securely, and in line with best practices.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Design, implement, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes platforms across hybrid environments (on-prem and public cloud)
Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of Kubernetes clusters and associated services
Collaborate closely with development teams to guide and support their adoption of cloud-native technologies and CI/CD integration
Drive automation of operational workflows including provisioning, patching, monitoring, logging, and incident response
Contribute to architectural decisions, disaster recovery planning, capacity management, and cost optimisation
Stay current with emerging trends in cloud-native technology and bring innovative yet practical solutions to real-world challenges

YOUR PROFILE
Proven hands-on experience as a Kubernetes engineer or platform operator in enterprise-scale environments
Strong technical proficiency with Kubernetes, including deep understanding of control plane components, networking (CNI), storage (CSI), service mesh concepts, and operators
Demonstrable experience administering Kubernetes using either open-source distributions or managed offerings such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) or VMware Tanzu – experience with either is a strong plus
Solid scripting and automation skills using languages such as Bash, Python, and Go, along with proficiency in configuration formats like YAML/JSON; familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Helm, Crossplane)
Experience with Kubernetes Operators / Crossplane Providers development in Golang is an advantage
Operational experience with Linux systems, container runtimes (containerd, CRI-O), and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
Security-first mindset — prior work implementing CIS benchmarks, runtime protection, image scanning, or achieving compliance is desirable
Holders of Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification are strongly preferred; Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) is considered a significant advantage
Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor engineers across multiple teams in a matrixed organisation
