Job Description

Now Hiring: Data Engineer

Employment: Contract, 6 Months (Extendable)

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Sydney, Australia - Hybrid

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows across multiple data sources and platforms.

Work extensively with AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift), Snowflake, and Teradata for data integration and transformation.

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and high performance.

Implement and maintain data models, schema designs, and performance tuning for large-scale data environments.

Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and high-quality data solutions.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery.

Contribute to best practices in data governance, security, and quality management.

Required Skills \& Experience:

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in large-scale data environments.

Strong hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud Services – S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift.

Proven experience with Snowflake, Teradata, and Redshift platforms.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions).

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Familiarity with Python or Scala for scripting and automation is a strong advantage.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
