Head of Chemical products Department (M/F)

Reporting to the Sales \& Marketing Director, you will lead a strategic business line for Kem One, positioned on dynamic international markets that depend heavily on industrial reliability and global demand trends.

The department’s products (chloromethanes, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, ferric chloride, etc.) are classified chemicals requiring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and regulatory control.

You will be responsible for optimizing the economic performance of the business unit (approx. €50 million turnover, 25% outside Europe) while developing markets, customers, and applications in a highly competitive international environment.

What We Offer

Strategy and Commercial Development

Define and lead the marketing and commercial strategy for the Chlorinated Derivatives and By-Products portfolio.

Conduct market, regulatory, and competitive intelligence to identify trends and growth opportunities.

Translate the commercial strategy into actionable plans by product, sector, and geography.

Identify and develop new customers, applications, and industrial partnerships.

Propose and support industrial development projects aligned with group strategy.

Actively contribute to strategic discussions within the Sales \& Marketing Executive Committee, particularly regarding electrolysis operations and industrial planning.

Performance Management

Optimize departmental results (contribution margin, working capital, budget).

Prepare budgets and ensure analytical performance tracking.

Lead negotiations with key accounts and international clients.

Manage production volume allocation to maximize profitability.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting to the Sales and Executive Management.

Team Leadership

Manage a product manager and coordinate a geographically distributed sales team (6 sales representatives).

Engage, support, and develop your team’s skills and performance.

Foster teamwork, cohesion, and a culture of excellence within the Sales \& Marketing organization.

Your Profile

You hold a degree from a business or engineering school and have at least 10 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally within the chemical or petrochemical sector.

You have strong expertise in international negotiation and strategic account management (Europe, US, India), combined with solid financial acumen.

Fluent in English, you are comfortable operating in an international and collaborative context.

A natural leader, you combine a results-driven mindset with teamwork and the ability to unite diverse stakeholders.
