Job Description

Overview of Kibo Ventures

We are a leading European multi-strategy tech investment platform led by experienced operators and investors that have collectively backed over 80 companies. Our mission is to back the most ambitious founders solving global problems. We are driven by the passion our founders bring to their companies, we embrace their vision and are committed to helping them succeed.

Since our founding in 2012, we manage +€500m across six funds, and have invested in some of the most successful companies in Europe, including Flywire (first Spanish company to IPO on Nasdaq); Job\&Talent or Devo (two of Spain’s largest unicorns); and exits to global giants such as Apple, Paypal, Airbnb or Crowdstrike.

Currently, we invest through:

(i) our early-stage VC funds, which hold a portfolio of promising companies founded by top-tier entrepreneurs, with a focus on B2B software and AI at the core; and

(ii) Nzyme, our tech-focused PE fund, that catalyses transformation and growth through roll-ups and the use of technology to impact service-based SMB companies.

Job Description:

The Product Development Program offers a full-time position based in Madrid, Spain and a unique opportunity to build a cutting-edge AI product from the ground up within our firm.

At Kibo Ventures, we aim to operate like a product-driven tech company rather than a traditional fund. We are seeking a developer to lead the creation of our internal product — the Kibo Ventures Intelligence Platform — applying data engineering and AI to source smarter, move faster, and better support our founders and be part of the value creation team that we deploy in some of our companies.

While not central to the role, if you are passionate about investing, you will also have the opportunity to learn and contribute to our investment processes and decisions.

As a small organization, every team member enjoys exceptional exposure, ownership and impact: from working directly with our founders and company managers to building tools core to the entire team. We take pride in fostering growth and supporting each member in advancing their career.

Key responsibilities:

Build the Kibo Ventures Intelligence Platform: You will be in charge of designing and implementing an AI-first system to power sourcing, portfolio monitoring, and decision-making across the firm.

Develop scalable data infrastructure: architect and maintain pipelines that integrate diverse data sources (CRM, portfolio KPIs, market/financial databases, open data, web scraping) into clean, reliable, and queryable datasets.

Leverage AI/ML for insights: prototype and deploy models to identify promising startups, track market trends, and generate actionable investment signals.

Automate internal workflows: streamline processes across investment and operations to improve efficiency, transparency, and collaboration.

Enable data-driven investing: design tools and dashboards that empower the investment team with faster, deeper, and more accurate analysis.

Collaborate with portfolio companies: provide technical insights and, where relevant, support founders with data and AI-related initiatives.

Stay at the frontier of tech: continuously explore emerging technologies, tools, and datasets that can give Kibo Ventures and our companies a competitive edge.
