Why this role exists
We’re scaling rapidly and need an engineer who can
own critical parts of the stack end-to-end
: designing scalable
services, setting reliability standards, and shipping delightful product experiences. This role blends backend,
frontend, and infrastructure, with a heavy emphasis on
operational excellence
.

What you’ll do
●
Architect \& deliver
production services in
NestJS
(modular DI, guards/pipes, validation) and
Next.js
(App Router, server actions, caching, edge rendering).
●
Build on GCP
: deploy on
Cloud Run
, package via
Artifact Registry
, secure with
Cloud Armor
, manage secrets in
Secret Manager
, connect to
Cloud SQL (Postgres)
, and wire networking via
VPC/Serverless NEG
.
●
Infrastructure as Code
: define
Terraform
modules, manage multi-env promotion, implement
blue/green or canary
rollouts, and secure deployments with
GitHub Actions + Workload Identity Federation (OIDC)
.
●
Observability \& SLOs
: establish availability/error budgets, implement
OpenTelemetry
tracing, structured logging, dashboards, and SLO-based alerts.
●
Security by default
: enforce least-privilege IAM, rotate secrets, ship SBOMs, manage dependency risk, and model threats proactively.
●
Developer Experience \& quality
: improve build times, add preview environments, enforce the test pyramid (unit/integration/e2e/contract), and strengthen our
Storybook-backed design system
.

Technical leadership
: write RFCs/ADRs, lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards.

● Shipped and operated
TypeScript services
at scale with NestJS or similar frameworks.
● Built
Next.js apps
balancing SSR/ISR/edge performance with accessibility.
● Managed infra on
GCP
with Terraform (multi-env, safe rollouts).
● Implemented end-to-end
observability
and debugged production using traces/logs/metrics.
● Worked with
relational schemas
(Postgres), migrations, and ensured data correctness.
● Practiced secure coding: IAM boundary design, secret management, dependency controls.
Bonus points
● Experience with
event-driven systems
(BullMQ/Redis, Pub/Sub).
● Performance tuning (p95 latency, cold-start mitigation, caching/CDN).
● Advanced
Storybook
workflows (tokens, visual regressions, accessibility).
● Prior exposure to regulated/sensitive data environments (audit logs, encryption).
