About The Role

We’re looking for a

Product Manager or Senior Product Manager, Payments

to join our team for a role to work remotely based in Canada.

This isn't a traditional PM role. We are looking for a fully AI-native builder—someone who lives in the terminal, prototypes with Claude, and uses LLMs not just to summarize meetings but to write code, query data, and accelerate product velocity.

Reporting to the VP, Product, you will own the heartbeat of KOHO: our money movement rails. You will manage our existing infrastructure, lead the strategy for new payment methods (including Real-Time Rail), and use your technical fluency to bridge the gap between product strategy and engineering execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage \& Optimize Core Rails: Oversee the performance, reliability, and economics of our existing payment rails (Interac, EFT, Card, etc.), ensuring money moves seamlessly for our users.

Build the Future of Payments: Lead the discovery and implementation of new payment methods, with a specific focus on strategic opportunities like the Real-Time Rail (RTR) and Open Banking.

AI-Accelerated Execution: Leverage AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) to draft technical specifications, analyze transaction datal, and prototype solutions before engineering handoff.

Strategic Roadmap: Define the long-term payments strategy, balancing regulatory compliance, partner requirements, and user experience to keep KOHO at the cutting edge of Canadian fintech.

Who You Are

AI Native \& Technical: You are comfortable in the terminal. You have built applications or complex workflows using tools like Claude. You don't just write PRDs; you can read an API spec and prototype the request in code.

Payments Expert: You have domain knowledge of the Canadian payments landscape (ISO 20022, RTR, Interac, clearing \& settlement).

High Agency: You move fast and unblock yourself. If you need data, you write the SQL. If you need a mock-up, you build it.

Strategic Thinker: You can articulate why we should build a feature, backing it up with unit economics and market analysis.

*Salary Range:*

Product Manager, Payments - $110,000 - $188,000 CAD

Senior Product Manager, Payments - $150,000 - $200,000 CAD

natif(ve) de l’IA

— quelqu’un qui vit dans le terminal, qui prototype avec Claude et qui utilise les LLM non seulement pour résumer des réunions, mais aussi pour écrire du code, interroger des données et accélérer la vitesse de livraison produit.

Relevant du/de la vice-président(e), Produit, vous serez responsable du cœur de KOHO : nos rails de mouvement d’argent. Vous gérerez notre infrastructure existante, piloterez la stratégie pour de nouveaux moyens de paiement (y compris le

Real-Time Rail

) et utiliserez votre aisance technique pour faire le pont entre la stratégie produit et l’exécution en ingénierie.

Ce que vous ferez

Gérer et optimiser les rails existants Superviser la performance, la fiabilité et l’économie de nos rails de paiement actuels (Interac, TEF/EFT, cartes, etc.) afin d’assurer des transactions fluides pour nos utilisateurs.

Bâtir l’avenir des paiements Diriger la découverte et l’implantation de nouveaux moyens de paiement, avec un accent particulier sur des opportunités stratégiques comme le Real-Time Rail (RTR) et l’open banking.

Exécution accélérée par l’IA Utiliser des outils d’IA (Claude, Cursor, etc.) pour rédiger des spécifications techniques, analyser des données transactionnelles et prototyper des solutions avant leur transfert à l’ingénierie.

Feuille de route stratégique Définir la stratégie paiements à long terme en équilibrant conformité réglementaire, exigences des partenaires et expérience utilisateur afin de maintenir KOHO à l’avant-garde de la fintech canadienne.

Votre profil

IA native et technique À l’aise dans le terminal. Vous avez déjà créé des applications ou des flux de travail complexes à l’aide d’outils comme Claude. Vous ne vous contentez pas d’écrire des PRD : vous pouvez lire une documentation d’API et prototyper les requêtes en code.

Expert(e) des paiements Vous possédez une solide connaissance du paysage canadien des paiements (ISO 20022, RTR, Interac, compensation et règlement).

Grande autonomie Vous avancez rapidement et débloquez les situations par vous-même. Besoin de données? Vous écrivez le SQL. Besoin d’une maquette? Vous la créez.

Vision stratégique Vous êtes capable d’expliquer pourquoi une fonctionnalité doit être développée, en vous appuyant sur l’économie unitaire et l’analyse de marché.
