Your opportunity:
We are seeking a capable Graduate or Experienced Technician to join a long-established land development consultancy during a major district growth phase. With several significant neighbourhood and multi-stage subdivision projects commencing in 2026, the role provides hands-on mentoring, project responsibility at the appropriate level, and the lifestyle advantages of working on the Kapiti Coast.
Role description:
The successful candidate will deliver a mix of cadastral, topographical, and engineering surveys using modern GNSS, RTS, and Drone equipment. The role covers field capture through to data processing, survey plans, and client communication using 12d, Landonline, and Landonline support tools. The level of responsibility is scaled to match experience.
Responsibilities will include:
Cadastral, topographical and engineering survey fieldwork
Operating GNSS, RTS, drones and modern survey tech
Survey data processing and quality assurance in 12d
Preparing plans and supporting documentation
Client communication and project ownership at the right level
This role suits someone with all or some of the following background/experience/qualities:
A Survey Graduate with the following
BSurv degree
Great communication skills and attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Or an Experienced Technician with
3–5+ years technician exp in cadastral/topo/engineering surveys
Confidence using GNSS and RTS equipment, drones, GPS and 12d
Strong 12d, BrisCad and Landoonline skills
Strong communication and commercial awareness
