The Role
Cordis Auckland is seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineering Supervisor to support the daily operations of our Engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the tools while guiding and motivating a team to deliver consistently high standards across the hotel’s facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in leading the Engineering team and coordinating day-to-day maintenance tasks
Oversee the upkeep of building services, plant, equipment, and guest room maintenance
Support the Chief Engineer in scheduling, reporting, and ensuring timely job completion
Priorities and complete jobs efficiently, ensuring guest requests are actioned quickly
Use our Hotel Operations Software (Hotsos) to report and track maintenance activities
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety in all areas of operation
Contribute to preventative maintenance schedules and improvement initiatives
Liaise with contractors and support coordination of external works
Mentor junior team members and provide on-the-job training
Sourcing equipment and spares at the best cost
Ensure correct operation of Building Management System (BMS)

Our Ideal Candidate
Flexible to work a rotating roster over 7 day covering both morning shift and evening shift.
Previous hotel or large property maintenance experience, ideally in a supervisory or senior technician role
Strong trade skills or mechanical engineering background
Confident using digital maintenance systems or BMS platforms
A supportive, hands-on leader who leads by example
A team player who’s willing to pitch in whether it’s adjusting HVAC systems or replacing a light bulb
