Job Summary (List Format) – Sr. Cloud Engineer (Ally Financials)
Evaluate and optimize cloud architectures for scalability, performance, and cost\-effectiveness in public cloud environments (mainly AWS).
Combine technical expertise in both front\-end development (Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3\) and cloud infrastructure management.
Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure challenges.
Develop user\-facing solutions and integrate with CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment.
Consult with directors, application owners, and executive leadership to drive cloud adoption, reliability improvements, and cost optimization strategies.
Design and assess cloud architectures using AWS services, considering security, performance, and scalability.
Troubleshoot AWS service issues (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, etc.) and work with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
Execute and optimize hybrid/multi\-region cloud architectures.
Apply expertise in cloud automation platforms and technologies.
Work effectively in a matrixed, collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self\-starter able to work through ambiguity and prioritize group goals.
Preferred Certifications
AWS Solutions Architect Associate (Highly Preferred)
AWS Developer Associate (Highly Preferred)
