Duties

Develop, test, and deploy responsive web applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, and Vue.js.

Build and maintain server-side components with frameworks like Spring Framework, Django, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET, and Node.js.

Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party web services using SOAP, JSON, XML, GraphQL, and other protocols.

Manage databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQLite, and Microsoft SQL Server to store and retrieve application data efficiently.

Utilize containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for deployment workflows.

Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to automate testing and deployment processes.

Conduct unit testing with frameworks like Jasmine, Mocha, or Jest to ensure code quality and reliability.

Optimize websites for SEO performance and enhance user experience (UX) through data visualization techniques and UI/UX best practices.

Collaborate using project management tools such as Trello or Jira to track progress and coordinate tasks within Agile development cycles.

Maintain version control through Git or SVN repositories; participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards.

Ensure system security by following best practices in application development and deploying updates via Ansible or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

Proven experience in web development with a strong portfolio of responsive websites or applications.

Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), JavaScript (ES6+), AJAX, Bootstrap, React.js, Angular, jQuery, Redux.

Solid understanding of back-end development using Java (Spring Boot), PHP (WordPress), Python (Django), Ruby on Rails, C#, or .NET frameworks.

Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server; familiarity with ORM tools is a plus.

Knowledge of containerization (Docker), cloud services (AWS or Azure), web servers (Tomcat), and deployment automation tools (Jenkins).

Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and system architecture design.

Ability to develop APIs using RESTful services or GraphQL; experience with SOAP web services is advantageous.

Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile practices; experience working with Jira or Trello is preferred.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Internship position open to DEC or diploma students in IT, software development, or network services.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.66 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Verdun, QC H4G 1M3
