Job Description

“Hire people who make you never want to hire “normal” people again.” - Brian Chesky

“Don’t hire people who need to be managed” - YC advice

Information about companies is inherently incomplete, outdated, and often wrong. This will not change. Because of this, it has been very hard to build a tool that qualifies B2B leads as a human would, and that can deliver a constant flow of qualified leads to B2B sales representatives. Which is something those people want.

We believe times are changing, and now we can make AI smarter so that it can achieve more with less data. To tackle this challenge, we develop smarter crawlers to extract exhaustive information about even the smallest companies, and extrapolate missing information. We train lead representation models to power our lead recommender system, and build a whole set of tools to enable AI to leverage all the information we have to answer lead qualification questions as well as a human sales rep would.

In addition, we relentlessly study user behavior to build an engaging user interface and become a key app in the user workflow.

We’re doing a pretty good job, with \~70% of our monthly active users using the app weekly, and with our user base growing \~20% week after week. However, to actually turn this into a product that has changed the world of B2B sales, we need to continue to learn, innovate, and improve.

Our team is a good place for people who are self-starters, who want to express themselves through their work, learn, grow, and are unafraid of hard challenges.

We are not a good place for people who need to be told precisely what to do, are unable to make judgment calls and tend to wait for validation, or who care more about “whose fault is it” than about “how to make it work”.

We work in a very low-overhead, agile way, with a single weekly team coordination meeting, all other meetings being in service of actually doing the work or becoming a person that can do it. We use a GitHub Project for keeping track of things. Weekly iterations. English. There is a lot of freedom, but also a sense of not being alone. Or at least that is what we strive for.
