Senior Python Developer (Team Lead)

This is not a “sit in a corner and ship tickets” kind of role. As a startup, we move quickly, change direction when needed, and tackle problems that don’t have a playbook. You’ll work directly with experienced data scientists and engineers, and you’ll see the impact of your work in real projects, real clients, and real outcomes.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Python Developer to lead the core systems that power our products. You will be the technical anchor for a small team, but you also need to be a "Swiss Army Knife"—ready to code, architect, mentor, or jump on a client call when needed.

You will bridge the gap between our expert Data Science team, our clients, and our junior developers. While our core product is AI-driven, you do not need prior AI experience—just strong Python skills and a fearless approach to learning tools like LangChain and Langfuse.

Key Responsibilities

The Bridge (Client Facing): You will speak directly with customers and non-technical stakeholders to understand their pain points. Your job is to translate "business talk" into actionable technical tasks for your team.

Startup Agility: Be ready to wear multiple hats. Whether it’s fixing a critical bug, re-architecting a feature, or helping with documentation, you are willing to fill in the gaps to get the job done.

Technical Leadership \& Mentorship: Lead by example. You will train and mentor junior developers, helping them level up their skills while ensuring code quality remains high.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-glove with Data Scientists to turn complex models into production-ready software.

Core Development: Build robust Python applications using libraries like Pandas and NumPy, and integrate modern AI workflows.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 5 to 10 years of Python development experience.

Startup Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities. You take ownership of problems rather than waiting for permission to fix them.

Communication Rockstar: Fluent English is mandatory. You must be an excellent communicator who can explain technical constraints to non-technical clients without jargon.

People Skills: You are patient and empathetic, capable of guiding junior devs and managing client expectations.

Tech Stack: Strong proficiency with Pandas, NumPy, Git, and Docker. Experience with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Nice to Have

Experience with LangChain, Langfuse, or OpenAI APIs.

French language skills (a nice bonus).

Previous experience in a seed-stage or high-growth startup.
