LECE is a growing electrical engineering and contracting business undertaking a digital transformation to improve operational visibility and decision-making. We’re looking for a skilled Software Developer to assist in building a custom dashboards powered by data from SimPro (via API integration) and other business systems.
You’ll be responsible for developing robust data pipelines, integrating APIs, and creating a modern, user-friendly dashboard that provides real-time business insights to management.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy API integrations (starting with SimPro)
Create a data model and develop a dashboard (e.g., Power BI, custom web app, or equivalent)
Enable real-time visibility into financial, operational, and workforce performance
Collaborate with LECE’s leadership to understand key metrics and reporting needs
Document integration logic, endpoints, and technical workflows
Ensure security and scalability of the solution
Requirements
Proven experience in API development and integration (RESTful APIs, JSON)
Experience with SimPro API (highly regarded) or similar ERP/field management systems
Strong skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
Experience in data visualization / dashboard tools (Power BI, Grafana, or custom web UI)
Familiarity with Google Suite / Cloud integrations is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Nice to Have
Experience with automation, AI-based insights, or business intelligence systems
Background in construction, engineering, or trade services industries
Experience in SCADA
Contract Details
Flexible contract or part-time engagement (estimated 40–100 hours initially)
