Overview
To design, build, and maintain software applications or systems that meet user needs and solve specific problems. The Developer leverages programming languages, frameworks, and tools to create efficient, scalable, and user\-friendly solutions, while collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to ensure high\-quality deliverables. Growing an understanding of business needs and objectives. Solve a range of mostly straightforward problems with some increased scope and complexity. Developing professional with basic skill set and proficiency with procedures and techniques.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy high\-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
Analyze technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to build scalable and reliable applications.
Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team collaboration.
Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other quality assurance measures to ensure software reliability.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to enhance development efficiency.
Maintain clear technical documentation for code, processes, and system architecture.
Optimize code and applications for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Ensure applications meet security and compliance requirements, addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
Qualifications
Bachelorās degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Hands\-on experience of technical project implementations preferably with financial institutions security and investments.
Previous hands\-on experience as a software developer. Proven experience in software development in modern languages (Java, C\#, Python, etc.).
Hands\-on technical experience in delivering large technical products and services in the Cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of security concepts (security protocols, SSO, etc.).
Knowledge of integration patterns.
Experience in API design and management.
Hands\-on experience in utilizing various development and operations framework methodologies including Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or various flavors of Agile (SAFe, etc.).
Experience in communicating technical concepts and practices effectively at all levels, including non\-technical audiences, adjusting as needed to a target audience.
Experience in translating business needs and requirements into comprehensive, useful, and clear architecture designs and artifacts.
Experience in developing business and/or technical architecture diagrams.
Experience in facilitating review and validation of designs by technical and non\-technical audiences.
Experience in interpreting and translating architecture designs into IT solutions to achieve specific business outcomes.
Advanced verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
Masterās degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
Experience and knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti\-Money Laundering and OFAC Compliance.
Experience and knowledge of the Investment and Compensation.
Understanding of mainframe and core financial systems.
Skilled in Databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2 etc.).
Certification in Microsoft Azure, AWS, PEGA, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), etc.
Working knowledge of banking and financial industry standards and practices.
Working knowledge of Navy Federal functions, philosophy, operations, and organizational objectives.
