LeverageTek Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a Cloud Engineer for an 6-month contract with its Ottawa based customer.

Key Tasks
Operate and maintain production infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, including the broader Kubernetes ecosystem: Argo CD, Cert-Manager, External Secrets Operator, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
Design, build, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
Collaborate with the development team to support containerized workloads using Docker and Helm.
Monitor system performance and implement observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana).
Maintain and support key infrastructure services (e.g., Postgres, Keycloak).
Participate in patching, scripting, automation, and project-based work (e.g., ACCS).
Act as a team player while also working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Qualifications
Kubernetes – In-depth operational experience running and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production.
Terraform – Strong proficiency managing cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Experience deploying and managing workloads in GCP.
Qualifications
Kubernetes ecosystem tools: Argo CD, Cert-Manager, External Secrets Operator, Prometheus, Grafana.
CI/CD experience with Jenkins and GitHub.
Helm charts and container management with Docker.
Infrastructure services: Postgres, Keycloak.
Alternatives (not preferred but still valuable):
Pulumi instead of Terraform, AWS or Azure instead of GCP, Bitbucket instead of GitHub, GitHub Actions instead of Jenkins
Proven team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Self-starter with the initiative to own and improve systems.
