About the Team
IDVerse Enterprise Product team, combining core engineering—designing, developing, and scaling backend features, shaping product architecture, and troubleshooting production issues—with solutions delivery, where the developer implements and configures client environments and delivers tailored product features.
About The Role We’re hiring a versatile and proactive PHP Developer to join our engineering organization in a dual-capacity role. This position can involve either of the following modes of work:* Core Engineering – Collaborating with product and engineering on the IDVerse Enterprise product, contributing to foundational infrastructure and feature development.
Solutions Delivery – Working with the Solutions Delivery team to implement and configure client environments and deliver tailored product features.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex problems across both client-facing and product-focused domains.
Responsibilities Core Engineering – Enterprise Product* Design and develop backend features for the IDVerse Enterprise product.
Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Frontend Engineers to deliver innovative and usable solutions.
Help shape the technical direction of the product, making architectural decisions that impact long-term scalability and performance.
Identify and address technical debt, contributing to continuous improvement.
Document new features and changes for internal and external stakeholders.
Troubleshoot production issues reported by customers, analyzing logs and source code to identify root causes and implement bug fixes as needed.
Solutions Delivery – Enterprise Product* Implement, configure, and upgrade environments for new and existing clients.
Identify and prioritize technical debt and contribute to refactoring efforts.
Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Frontend Engineers, QA, Architects, and other Developers.
Document changes, configurations, and processes to ensure maintainability and transparency.
Requirement* Strong understanding of PHP, Laravel, PSR-4, OO-design patterns, and Dependency Injection.
Experience working with Composer, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven experience with complex web applications and scalable backend systems.
Exposure to writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working across distributed teams.
Ability to work at least 6 hours per day aligned with Sydney business hours (GMT+10). 5pm PDT.
Preferred Qualifications* Experience in Fraud, Risk, AML, IDV, biometrics, or API design.
Familiarity with Linux environments and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Prior experience in enterprise-grade product development or client delivery projects.
