Job Description

About Us

We build and operate Transload.Pro, an enterprise SaaS platform for multi-client inventory control and transportation planning in the transload industry. We are a small software team inside a large transportation and logistics company, tasked with building our own product our own way.

Small team means real ownership. You will touch every part of the system — mobile apps, web UI, APIs, database schemas, CI/CD pipelines, and client-facing features. There is no separate mobile team, no frontend-only role, no one else to handle the things you don’t feel like doing. If that sounds like a problem, this isn’t the right fit. If it sounds like freedom, keep reading.

What You’ll Actually Do

Your primary mission is to rebuild our legacy iOS apps into cross-platform React Native applications for both iOS and Android, while also contributing to our web platform and backend services.

Own the mobile app rewrite from start to finish. We have existing iOS-only apps that need to be rebuilt in React Native for dual-platform release. You will lead architecture decisions, build the UI, integrate with our backend APIs, and handle app store builds and submissions for both platforms. This is the job — not a side project.

Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as your primary development accelerator — not as a novelty, but as a core part of how you write, test, debug, and ship code every day.

Build and maintain web features in our React frontend alongside the mobile work. The shared React foundation is a big reason we chose React Native.

Integrate mobile and web clients with our backend APIs. Work with the backend team to extend APIs where needed for mobile-specific requirements.

Handle mobile-specific concerns: offline data handling, push notifications, camera/barcode scanning for warehouse use, and responsive design across devices.

Set up and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, App Center, EAS Build, or similar) for automated builds and deployments.

Work directly with operations and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into working features on web and mobile.

Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and development standards for a small but growing team.

Required

These are not suggestions. Do not apply if you cannot check every box.

Demonstrated AI-assisted development experience. You must currently use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) as a regular part of your development workflow. In your application, describe a specific project or feature where AI-assisted coding meaningfully changed how you built it. Generic mentions of “familiar with AI tools” will not be considered.

React Native experience with shipped apps. You have built and shipped at least one React Native app to the App Store or Google Play. Not a tutorial, not a side project sitting on GitHub — a production app that real users downloaded. You can own the full lifecycle from architecture through store submission.

Strong React web experience. You can build responsive, production-quality web UI components. Our web platform is React-based and you’ll contribute to it alongside mobile work.

API integration and backend familiarity. You know how to consume and work with RESTful APIs, understand authentication flows (JWT, OAuth), and can have a productive conversation with backend engineers about what you need from an endpoint. You don’t need to be a backend expert, but you can’t be afraid of server-side code.

Relational database proficiency. You can write SQL, understand schema design, and reason about how your frontend/mobile queries translate to database performance. Multi-tenant data architecture awareness is a plus.

Full-stack versatility. You don’t wait for someone else to configure Fastlane, debug a build failure, set up a CI/CD pipeline, or figure out why push notifications aren’t working in production. On a small team, you own problems end-to-end.

Security-conscious development. Input validation, secure token storage on mobile, certificate pinning, encryption, least-privilege access. This platform handles sensitive client data for multiple organizations.

On-site in Carson, CA. This is an in-office position. You must be able to work from our Carson facility.

Strong Plus

.NET/C# backend experience. Our backend is .NET on Azure — if you can work across the full stack including our backend, that’s a major advantage.

Azure cloud experience (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps).

Experience in logistics, supply chain, freight, warehousing, or inventory management systems.

Experience building or maintaining multi-tenant / multi-client SaaS platforms.

Mobile-specific expertise: offline/sync patterns, push notifications, camera/barcode scanning, GPS/geofencing.

App Store and Google Play submission and release management experience.

CI/CD automation for mobile builds (Fastlane, App Center, EAS Build, or similar).

Experience refactoring legacy codebases and incrementally modernizing platforms.

Startup, small company, or consulting background where you wore many hats.

How to Apply

Send your resume to jobs@sc-man.com with the subject line “FullStack-Mobile-Carson”.

In the body of your email, include short answers (3–5 sentences each) to these two questions:

1. “Describe a specific feature, bug fix, or refactor where you used an AI coding assistant (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) in a way that meaningfully changed your approach. What did you build, what tool did you use, and what was different about the process?”

2. “Describe a React Native app you shipped to the App Store or Google Play. What did the app do, and what was your role in getting it from code to production release?”

Applications without both answers will not be reviewed. We are specifically looking for engineers who have integrated AI-assisted development into their real workflow and have shipped real mobile apps — not engineers interested in trying either someday.

What We Offer

Real ownership of mobile apps and a web platform used by multiple enterprise clients.

A small, focused team where your work ships and your decisions matter.

Competitive salary ($110K–$160K) commensurate with experience, plus benefits.

Direct access to domain experts in logistics and transportation — you’ll learn the industry.

A company that’s serious about AI-assisted development as the way forward, not a buzzword.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
