Annual compensation between $110,000 - $120,000, PLUS an annual performance-based, discretionary incentive. Compensation is dependent on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills, education/degrees, certifications, prior experience, market data, and other relevant factors.

What You Will Do - Essential Functions

The Data Analytics Engineer will be responsible for strategically engineering, developing, and supporting on-premises and Cloud data applications and processes. The Data Analytics Engineer will also maintain related systems while ensuring high levels of data availability and data quality for the organization. The Data Analytics Engineer must retain a modern working knowledge of legacy and cloud-based data platforms using self-study and educational learning aids.

Data Architecture \& Cloud Expertise

  • Assess and promote long-term goals for data warehousing across cloud and on-premises environments.

  • Design and implement Cloud and On-prem Data Marts for BI and reporting needs.

  • Research and recommend data warehouse products, services, and standards for procurement and development.

Development \& Automation

  • Apply Agile methodologies within SDLC for project development and delivery.

  • Implement process automation and orchestration using tools like Airflow, DBT, Airbyte, SSIS, and SQL Agent.

  • Create complex Airflow DAGs in Python and leverage Jinja templates for workflow customization.

Technical Expertise

  • Proficient in Snowflake and Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced Snowflake features (Tasks, Streams, SnowAPI).

  • Intermediate skills in AWS architecture (S3, EC2, VPC, IAM) and CICD tools (CodeCommit, CodeDeploy).

  • Skilled in SQL (ANSI \& T-SQL), Python (Pandas, BOTO3), and daily use of GIT, Cloud9 IDE, and Flyway for version control and migrations.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Four years of college/BS in an IT related field or relevant experience.

  • Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting on premise and Cloud data warehouse/data management systems

  • 1-3 years’ experience with big data and related products (Cloud and/or On Premise)

  • 1-3 years healthcare data experience

  • Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and best practices

  • Relevant work experience dealing with production issues and debugging issues.

  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.

  • Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony \& misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certified / Snowflake Certified

  • Experience with on premise to Cloud migrations.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.

  • A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls.

  • High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting).
