This co-op position is an opportunity to work in the research and development team of a photonics \& fiber optics company that is passionate about meeting the needs of our customers.
What Youâll Be Doing* Contributing to the ongoing development of automated solutions for our next generation optical transport products;
Solving complex technical problems;
Working in close collaboration with the Firmware R\&D teams; and,
Improving the quality and robustness of firmware and hardware tests.
What Weâre Looking For
Recommended Education:* 2nd, 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Skills:* Desire to succeed and to do things right the first time;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong object-oriented software design and implementation (any language);
Experience with any or all of the following: Git, GitHub, Bash, PowerShell, ChatGPT, Copilot, C#, Python, Javascript, XML, gRPC, Jira;
Experience in instrumentation and automation;
Understanding of optical systems;
Experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.
