Job Description

Role Summary:

Lumonus builds tools that make radiation treatment planning faster, safer, and more consistent. As Director, Product Solutions (Dosimetry \& Treatment Planning), you’ll be the bridge between clinic and product. You’ll work alongside dosimetrists, physicists, and physicians to understand how plans are created and reviewed, translate real workflows into clear product requirements, and co-design solutions with our Product and Engineering teams. You’ll also support early customers through configuration and training, aiming for tangible wins like higher first-pass approval rates and shorter planning turnaround.

Reporting Lines:

You will report to the Chief Product Officer and collaborate with leaders across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead discovery with planning \& QA teams

Meet dosimetrists, physicists, and physicians where they work to map the planning journey.

Capture current-state workflows, bottlenecks, and “definition of done” by role; document representative cases and edge cases.

Translate clinical language into clear, actionable problem statements that the team can build against.

Co-build with Product \& Engineering

Convert field discovery into clear problem briefs with acceptance criteria and success measures.

Co-author practical specs for plan setup/goal ingestion, planning assistance/evaluation, and reliable EMR/OIS/TPS handoffs, with safety and quality guardrails built in.

Partner on test plans and telemetry, validate with representative cases, and feed outcomes back to prioritize the few changes that unlock adoption and scale.

Prove value in the field

Tailor demos and evaluations to each site’s workflow and language; guide right-sized proofs that de-risk adoption.

Create clear enablement (demo flows, role-by-role impact, objection handling) and partner with Sales to multi-thread stakeholders.

Build early clinical champions and reference stories that accelerate momentum.

Enable safe, confident adoption

Partner with Clinical/Implementation teams to configure, train, and validate at early sites—on-site when needed.

Distinguish assistive vs decisive behaviors in the product; ensure appropriate guardrails and documentation are in place.

Instrument usage and outcomes; surface issues with clean reproduction steps and priorities.

Experience and Qualifications:

Required:

5+ years of experience in a healthcare software environment (e.g., product, implementation, clinical workflow analysis)

Deep understanding of physician workflows in radiation oncology or oncology more broadly

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills—especially in clinical settings

Experience conducting product discovery or customer interviews

Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable product direction

Nice to Have:

Experience working with or alongside radiation oncologists

Familiarity with treatment planning systems, PACS, EMRs, or oncology- specific solutions

Experience with data and analytics tools, especially for clinical quality or operational performance

Prior experience in a product, customer success, or pre-sales role

Exposure to FHIR, HL7, or clinical integration protocols

Skills and Attributes:

Clinical credibility with dosimetry/physics; empathetic listener.

Systems thinker who turns complexity into clear steps and guardrails.

Bias to ship, then shape-learn from real usage.

Thrives in a sales-led product loop and enjoys hands-on work with customers.
