DevOps / Cloud Engineer (AWS)

London (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

£60,000 – £75,000

Lynx Recruitment are currently partnered with an Award-winning digital consultancy who are seeking an experienced Devops / Cloud Engineer to join its growing delivery team. This role is heavily focused on AWS-based Cloud Environments.
You will work across the full lifecycle of cloud delivery, collaborating closely with engineers, architects, security teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement
AWS cloud architectures
that meet requirements for scalability, availability, security and cost efficiency
Build, maintain and optimise
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
using tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation
Develop and manage
CI/CD pipelines
to enable reliable, automated deployments
Deploy and support applications across
multi-tier AWS environments
Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, monitoring and compliance controls
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise cloud platforms for performance, resilience and cost efficiency
Work with internal teams and clients to deliver cloud solutions aligned to business outcomes
Contribute to project planning, prioritisation and technical decision-making
Support knowledge sharing, mentoring and continuous improvement within the engineering team
Skills \& Experience
Strong, hands-on experience with
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Proven experience with
Infrastructure as Code
(Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience building and maintaining
CI/CD pipelines
(e.g. Jenkins, Git-based workflows, Ansible)
Experience with
serverless technologies
such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway
Programming or scripting experience (ideally
Python
)
Strong knowledge of
Linux-based systems
Experience managing distributed, highly available cloud applications
Familiarity with
AWS networking and database services
Experience working in
Agile delivery environments
