Roseway Manor is currently seeking a Recreation Programmer to join our Recreation Team. The successful candidate must share our enthusiasm for life and for making every day, a day to “live large”!
The Recreation Programmer is key to supporting our residents on many different levels. As our employees are all unique so are our residents. We strive to touch each resident on a personal level while also meeting their emotional, social, physical, spiritual, and intellectual requirements daily.
Responsibilities
Conducting daily recreation programs
Planning, implementing, and evaluating programs
Motivating and facilitating resident participation in programs
Document resident progress
Assist in training of volunteers and student placements
Follow all safety, environmental, and infection control practices according to facility policies
Qualifications
Diploma in Recreation/Leisure Studies or equivalent work/education experience, CCA Certification to be considered
A desire to be involved with each member of our Roseway Manor Family
A goal to make each day the best it can be
Eden Training, Alzheimer/Dementia Care Course, Class 4 Driver’s License, current First Aid/CPR and current Food Handlers Course would be considered an asset

Salary and benefits are based on Schedule A of the Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 3099. Schedule to be discussed (Monday-Friday with rotating evenings and weekend work)
