Senior Data AI Architect

Join the Asia Data Office as a Senior Data AI Architect to support the development of innovative data and AI solutions and contribute to fostering a data-driven culture across our regional partners. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about data, AI, innovation, with full-stack AI/ML skills, and understanding the emerging technologies, particularly in areas such as Generative / Agentic AI, MLOps / LLMOps, and various data platforms including Azure Databricks, AI Foundry, Kubernetes Service, and Alibaba Cloud.

Position Responsibilities:

AI Applications:

  • Responsible for the architecture design for data and AI in Aisa Data Office, and collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the standards are followed and fit for purpose design applied.

  • Participate and drive the architectural discussions on data provisions for AI applications to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.

  • Create POC solutions independently with emerging AI technologies such as RAG, Agentic AI, MCP, low-code development, etc., and propose the best course of action to adopt new architectural patterns.

  • Design and enhance reusable frameworks to maximize repeatability of solutions and reduce cost \& overall time-to-market.

  • Drive and improve CICD / LLMOps / MLOps practices to streamline and automate build, deploy, model management processes using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.

  • Explore AI capabilities in both Microsoft Azure and AliCloud, and align architectural design and internal processes with multiple cloud providers.

Architectural Support and Implementation:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of scalable, secure data and AI related architectures.

  • Support the resolution of architectural issues and contribute to robust solutions using industry best practices.

  • Facilitate data flow throughout the organization under the guidance of senior architects.

Data Management and Integration:

  • Help develop and maintain component data architectures.

  • Assist in creating templates and complex solution components for software and platform engineers.

Application Architecture:

  • Support the design of application architectures and troubleshoot issues with component architectures.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work with teams towards common objectives, providing support in data architecture and security.

Innovation and Learning:

  • Explore emerging technologies and assess their potential impact.

  • Engage in continuous learning from both successes and failures.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document data architecture designs, security policies, and procedures.

  • Report on data solutions and security effectiveness to senior management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields.

7 years of experience in data platform, Architecture, solution design, engineering, or database administration.

Proficient in data platform technologies and security practices.

Ability to align software/platform/infrastructure architecture with business strategies.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Able to work independently and manage partnerships and stakeholders

Insight into the insurance and/or financial sectors is a plus.

Ability to exercise judgment with limited supervision to achieve tasks.

Capable of leading and mentoring other engineers \& team members to develop skills and best practices.

Relevant certification such as Azure Solution Architect Expert and/or AI related specialization is beneficial.
