Are you passionate about solving complex problems with smart software? At JBT Marel, you’ll work on advanced process control systems that drive innovation in the global food industry. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team in Boxmeer (Netherlands) that designs, develops, and tests real-time industrial software – with direct impact on customers around the world.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be involved in the full development lifecycle of our Process Control platform, from requirements and architecture to testing and field deployment. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and see your work come to life on the production floor.* Design, implement, test, and document software applications within our Process Control platform

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, QA engineers, architects, and process experts

Participate in functional specification phases and support field testing during deployment

Integrate real-time data from sensors and systems to enable intelligent routing, tracking, and decision-making

Communicate with our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure performance and reporting alignment

Work in an Agile Scrum environment focused on collaboration, speed, and customer value

What Kind of Person Are You?

We’re looking for a skilled engineer who combines technical excellence with curiosity and creativity. You thrive in a team, take initiative, and want to make a difference.* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar

Strong experience with modern tech stacks including .NET, C#, Angular, Docker, Linux, XML/JSON/HTML

Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and testing practices

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a hands-on, collaborative mindset

Strong communication skills and fluent in English (additional languages a plus)

Affinity with industrial automation or the food industry is a big advantage
