Martinus is a leading rail infrastructure company delivering complex and large-scale transport projects across Australasia. We are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our team in New Zealand based from our office in Onehunga.
This full-time permanent role is responsible for carrying out surveys to contract specifications or design needs, and for accurately producing reliable survey data to support project delivery. The Surveyor will collaborate with designers, engineers, and subcontractors, and play an important role in ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities* Review design models for suitability onsite.
Produce site models, set out data, plans, diagrams and quantities to support tendering, planning and project execution.
Coordinate and audit subcontracted surveyors, ensuring compliance.
Provide technical advice on survey services, equipment procurement and digital software.
Support the business with occasional onsite survey requirements.
Deliver accurate reporting in a timely manner.
Promote and uphold strong health, safety, and environmental practices.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will ideally bring:* A relevant tertiary qualification in surveying (advantageous but not a must have).
Registration as a Surveyor (advantageous but not a must have).
4 years minimum proven surveying experience, must be in rail.
Experience with 12D, AutoCAD, and machine guidance systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica).
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
Clean and full driver’s licence.
