As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated - Manufacturing Operations Supervisor - to join our group.
This is a key role withing the operations function of Mbryonics, that will oversee the management of the manufacturing team through our scale up and move to commercial manufacturing. As our manufacturing operation matures the role will also take responsibility for creating, supporting and implementing strategies related to Health and Safety, Quality, Engagement, Continuous Improvement and Operations Performance Management.
Key areas of initial focus will be supporting all elements of our manufacturing start up. This includes hiring of the operations team, creation of our training and certification process, documentation preparation, GMP and compliance, customer satisfaction, quality, process development, continuous improvement and yield management (right first time).
What you'll do
Team Leadership \& Development:
Motivate, coach, and mentor employees, set clear expectations, and conduct performance reviews to foster a high-performance culture.
Hiring, Training and Certification:
In line with the scale up plan, manage the hiring process, and develop the training and certification process to ensure we have a skilled and capable team to meet our business objectives.
Process Development and Scale Up Support:
As we move from R\&D to commercial manufacturing there will be input required into the process design and flow planning and implementation. This will include product and material planning requirements and associated controls.
Continuous Improvement \& Lean Initiatives:
Support the development and implementation of operational excellence strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, while driving problem solving, yield improvement, cycle time reduction and right first time benefits into our processes.
Operational Oversight and Compliance:
Ensure all operational procedures, policies, and standards are followed, and maintain compliance with company regulations and industry best practices.
Performance Monitoring \& Analysis:
Track and analyse performance metrics, KPI reporting, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize operational performance. Support running of Production Management Process (Tier meeting process and reporting).
Cross-functional Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with other departments, i.e. design groups, quality, H\&S, engineering, supply chain, HR, finance, etc., and functional managers to coordinate initiatives and ensure seamless integration of operations across the company.
Quality and GMP:
Implement quality programme and system requirements throughout the manufacturing function, with focus on GMP, GDP, compliance, material management and accuracy, adherence to all procedures and drive a philosophy of Right First Time manufacturing.
Planning, SIOP and Budget Support:
Be a key participant in our SIOP process for planning production, delivery schedules and capacity. Input into budgeting process as needed for manufacturing and operations requirements.
Who you are
Leadership \& Management:
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, manage workflow, and delegate tasks effectively. Strong people leadership and development skills required. Experience of production management and tier meeting process is an advantage.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate expectations, provide feedback, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization required.
Problem Solving \& Continuous Improvement:
Experience of multi tasking, dealing with multiple priorities and issues, driving improvement and finding solutions as the business grows and develops.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Also to manage multiple direct reports across a diverse and growing business.
Education:
Relevant 3rd level education and / or manufacturing experience in a high precision and quality focused environment is required.
