Senior Data Engineer
Contract (DRC) - 6 Months
Dublin City Centre - 2-3 days onsite
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-growing FinTech organisation based in Dublin City Centre.
This is a day-rate contract for an initial 6 months, this contract is a great opportunity to work on high-impact data initiatives within a dynamic, regulated environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising data pipelines and data models that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
Work extensively with SQL for data modelling, querying, and performance optimisation
Develop data solutions using Python
Support and enhance BI and reporting tools used across the business
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance best practices are followed
Required Experience
Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role
Advanced SQL skills
Solid Python development experience for data engineering use cases
Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
Experience working in FinTech or other regulated environments is highly desirable
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a contract, delivery-focused role
